Since Jiaxing was selected as a service-oriented manufacturing city，the advanced level of manufacturing industry base and the modernization level of the industrial chain have been significantly improved，and several internationally competitive industrial clusters and iconic industrial chains have been formed. The service-oriented manufacturing concept has taken root in Jiaxing and advanced manufacturing deeply integrated and developed with the modern service industry，and a modern industrial development system has been initially established，where physical manufacturing，digital technology and derivative services are closely integrated and coordinated. In response to the requirements of the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in the new stage，Jiaxing has successively introduced a series of policies and measures，focusing on making superior industries finer，emerging industries larger，and characteristic industries stronger，and strive to build a modern industrial system that reflects the new concept of digital service. Jiaxing was approved as a “New Smart City Benchmark City” （only three cities were approved in China）. In the future，relying on digital infrastructure，Jiaxing will closely focus on the “dual cycle” and high-quality development strategy，strengthen policy support，and fill the gaps in the value chain；strengthen government guidance and build a high-level service-oriented manufacturing platform；participate in the “Belt and Road” initiative，accelerate the service-oriented export of manufacturing；integrate with Shanghai’s high-end resources to fill the value gap.
