Since Suzhou was selected as a service-oriented manufacturing demonstration city，relying on the huge manufacturing volume，many characteristic industries with international competitiveness have been formed and industrial clusters and parks are growing quickly. Nowadays，the advantages of large scale are gradually emerged，the development of service-oriented manufacturing has become well recognized，and the degree of integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries is constantly increasing in Suzhou. Based on the collaborative concept of intelligent manufacturing，green manufacturing and service-oriented manufacturing，a modern development ecosystem of service-oriented manufacturing has been initially established. In response to the high-quality development requirements of Jiangsu’s manufacturing industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period，Suzhou has continuously introduced and improved service-oriented manufacturing related policies to support and cultivate high-quality and typical service-oriented manufacturing demonstration enterprises and platforms. Focusing on characteristic industries such as electronic information，equipment manufacturing，and new materials，these policies will further promote the transformation of enterprises from pure product manufacturing to providing “manufacturing+service”，and will help the key development industries to build the “New Suzhou Manufacturing” brand. In the next step，Suzhou will deepen the concept of service-oriented manufacturing，strengthen top-level design，improve supporting policies，enhance the selection mechanisms，and promote typical service-oriented manufacturing demonstrations；deepen the integration of the manufacturing industry and service industry，strengthen the introduction of high-quality projects，lead the high-quality development of Suzhou’s manufacturing industry by innovation.
