In the post-pandemic era，stabilizing industry chain and stabilizing supply chain have become major topics in global economic governance. To build the new development pattern，which is an active strategic adjustment for changes in global economic relations，China has to rebuild its relationship with global economy. As a major functional platform of open economy，CIIE is an important carrier of policies that serves the cooperation of supply chains along the Belt and Road. We shall explore functional innovation and reform of operating mechanism，and bring the platform’s ability in coordinating supply chain resources into full play based on evolution of regional development pattern and revolution of transportation mode. CIIE’s promoting cooperation of supply chains along the Belt and Road is an important topic in the new development pattern. It requires innovation of functional positioning，optimization of organizational structure and promotion of institutional innovation.
