In the year 2007，urban and rural residents have more confidence in central government’s administration；the improvement of quality of life is better felt in rural than in urban areas；the confidence in competition of future society is enhanced；concerns about old age care is improved. However，individual financial situations，and career or professional problems still remain largely unimproved. Social security and public security even underwent decline. Urban residents are more satisfied with social security and old age care. However，price rise，lack of cultural and sports entertainment，descending safety of food and medicine all resulted in limiting the satisfaction on their general living conditions.
