In 2012, the development of chemical industry in Henan shows a steady and slow growth. Currently, the outstanding problems in the chemical industry of Henan includes the relative disperse of enterprise; lack of large-scale chemical parks; industry chain mainly focusing on the low end of the industry, small head and big body; lack of investment in science and technology, low proportion of scientific and technological achievements of the chemistry industry in the country; no longer comparative advantage in raw materials and labor cost, and less competitive power. Looking into 2013, there's still great room for the development of the chemical industry, and there's still great development potential. Finally, the countermeasures and suggestions for realizing transformation and upgrading of the petrochemical industry in Henan are raised. <<
