Since 2012, the output aluminum industrial in Henan province has maintained slow growth and a significant decline in economic benefit of the industry. With the strong support of the provincial and municipal levels of local government, the enterprises accelerate the pace of industrial transformation and upgrading, and achieved initial results, the aluminum smelting indicators domestically leading, and aluminum fabrication yield rapidly growing. However, key issues such as high energy cost and less competitive power of primary processing products also hampered the healthy development of the aluminum industry in the province. On the basis of summarizing the development experience and analyzing the development problems of the aluminum industry in Henan, this paper has made a pre-judgment of the development trend in the aluminum industry in the province throughout 2012 and in 2013, and put forward the initiatives and recommendations on accelerating the healthy development of the aluminum industry: to vigorously promote the construction of the captive power plant of electrolytic aluminum enterprises, to study the establishment of coal safeguard mechanism of risk sharing and shared interests between coal enterprises and electrolytic aluminum enterprises, to encourage the introduction of different characteristics of the small and medium-sized enterprises of producing aluminum processing terminal products, and to improve the project advisory level of intermediaries. <<
