Since the 17th Party Congress explicitly proposed to construct basic medical and health care system in 2007, under the correct leadership of the central government as well as the provincial Party committee and government, Henan health system has achieved excellent outcome in constructing basic medical and health care system. However, because the construction is in the starting period, only a framework has just been constructed, which lags behind the development of the provincial economy and other social undertakings. Therefore, there still exist various problems in public medical and health care services, facing rigorous challenges. In order to continuously improve residents' health level and gradually realize the grand target that everyone is equal in medical treatment, Henan province should further strengthen the construction of public health service system, medical service system, medical security system and drug supply guarantee system, and constantly improve the basic medical hand health care system covering the provincial urban and rural residents. <<
