This article cuts from the current status of China's log sawn timber imports, and points out that the current status of China's log sawn timber shows three characteristics: the increasing amount of imports, the concentration of importing countries, and the high degree of external dependence. This article further analyzes the reasons for the substantial increase in the dependence of China's log sawn timber imports, including the lack of forest resources, China's strong demand, and the significant differences in forest endowments in different countries. Therefore, it puts forward specific and feasible suggestions to improve China's log supply capacity, strengthen the development and cooperation with foreign forest resources, and develop a circular economy forestry industry. <<
