This article attempts to study the advantages and disadvantages of international school education in the context of economic development in the new era and corresponding countermeasures. This article is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the current status of international schools, including the three types of international schools, the conditions for the development of international schools, and the number and distribution of international schools. The second part promotes the education structure of local populations from international education. The positive effects of international schools are introduced in the three aspects of upgrading, attracting more international talents and stimulating the investment industry; the third part analyzes the main problems existing in international schools; the fourth part discusses the countermeasures for standardizing international school education It is suggested to explore how to promote the long-term and healthy development of international schools from the aspects of international school running qualifications and teacher reserves.
