Through the construction of an evaluation index system for the coupling and coordination degree between the information industry and the manufacturing industry, the empirical analysis of the degree of coupling and coordination between the information industry and the manufacturing industry in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China from 2000 to 2016 was made using the quantitative parameter statistical method of economic development. It was found that the degree of coupling and coordination between the information industry and the manufacturing industry basically hovered between low-to-low coordination and moderate-to-medium coordination. Although the degree was low, the overall trend was rising. In addition, the degree of coupling and coordination between the information industry and the manufacturing industry has obvious time fluctuations. It can be seen that the stability of the integrated development of the information industry and manufacturing industry in China is relatively poor. <<
