From 2019 to 2020，a series of great achievements have been made in the communication of Chinese culture，which are mainly reflected in four aspects. First，the cultural communication industry has played an important role in fighting the epidemic. Second，the construction of financial media has entered a new stage of acceleration and upgrading. Third，the Chinese film and television industry has passed the severe test of the COVID-19 epidemic. Fourth，the online video platform has developed into a diversified cultural dissemination platform. Government departments have intensified the management of chaos in the online audio-visual industry，ensuring the high-quality development of the online audio-visual industry. However，there are still some urgent problems that need be solved. First，the quality of new media reports is varied and some cannot meet even the standard. Second，sticking the distribution mode of “first release in cinemas” is not conducive to the recovery of the film industry. Third，people’s love for ancient themes is ignored，and there is no “one size fits all” approach to ancient TV dramas. To this end，this report makes the following recommendations：New media should implement strictly the industry standard of “one standard，one ruler and one bottom line” both online and offline；film practitioners should face up to and pay attention to the new trend of “online distribution”，and actively promote the new mode of distribution of film industry：“cinema and internet integration”：TV practitioners and management departments should make it clear that “content” rather than “subject matter” is the core factor that determines the quality of TV series.
