Based on the analysis of China’s cultural production from 2019 to 2020，this report shows that China’s cultural production has continued to deepen its reform in the past two years，and the overall situation has continued to improve，maintaining a relatively stable growth. The main achievements of China’s cultural production include：first，initial positive results of the reform of the cultural system have been witnessed and the cultural industry maintained a steady improvement；second，China shows a continued growth in contribution of culture and related industries in GDP，as well as improvement of the import and export of cultural products；third，the emerging digital cultural industry become a potential growth point in the field of cultural production. Generally speaking，China’s cultural and related industries have developed well during the “13^th Five-Year Plan” period，but there are also some problems：the cultural manufacturing industry has continued to show a tendency of decline；cultural wholesale and retail industries have also demonstrated a certain degree of lagging；though the online education industry has seen rapid expansion，its development in the 4th quarter of 2020 shows some potential difficulties；the inheritance and development of excellent traditional culture also needs to be given more attention. Therefore，this report proposes that while continuing to pay attention to the development of cultural manufacturing，we must also remain vigilant about the development of cultural wholesale and retail. We need to attach more significance of regulating the digital cultural industry and related industries，and further strengthen the inheritance of excellent traditional culture，especially the protection and preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
