With the advent of a new round of scientific and technological revolution，the construction of scientific and technological innovation centers has become an important measure for major cities around the world to enhance their international competitiveness. As Australia’s second largest city，Melbourne has given full play to its advantages in port trade，has attracted many technological innovation companies and talents with its livable living environment and stable market environment，and has successfully transformed into an Australian technology center. This article summarizes Melbourne’s experience in the process of building Australia’s technology center by reviewing the development status of Melbourne’s technology industry，and on this basis，gives suggestions for China’s CBD.
