In recent years，online rumors of public health emergencies have emerged one after another，especially after the outbreak of the Novel coronavirus pneumonia. If they are not controlled，they will affect social stability and cause negative effects. This article takes the Novel coronavirus pneumonia online rumors as an example，using literature research，case analysis and content analysis methods to collect a total of 100 Novel coronavirus pneumonia-related online rumors on the China Internet Joint Rumor Fighting Platform，and select 60 valid samples from them for in-depth analysis. Explore the rules and characteristics of the spread of online rumors of the new crown pneumonia，briefly summarize the harm caused by the online rumors of the Novel coronavirus pneumonia，summarize the specific practice of the Chinese government in handling rumors in the early stage of the epidemic，and further summarize the common strategies of the Chinese government to respond to online rumors in public health emergencies. On this basis，find out the existing problems in the governance of network rumors in our country，and put forward corresponding optimized governance suggestions in response to the current problems in the governance of network rumors in our country.
