Ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin is a major strategy established by the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core. Coordinating ecological protection and high-quality development is the only way to achieve sustainable economic and social development in the Yellow River basin. Located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River Basin，Shanxi Province has an important geographical position and shoulders great historical responsibility and mission. Since 2020，Shanxi has actively explored and implemented measures on ecological protection and high-quality development path of the Yellow River Basin，with remarkable results. However，at the same time，there are still some problems，such as the heavy task of ecological restoration and governance，the contradiction between the call of high-quality era and the congenital deficiency of industry，the contradiction between the fragile ecological background and the serious industrial pollution，and the competitiveness and influence of cultural tourism industry still to be strengthened. In the next step，Shanxi will continue to deeply implement the concept of green development. Centering on the “two mountains seven rivers and one basin”，Shanxi will further strengthen the restoration and management of the ecological environment，speed up the transformation and upgrading of high-quality industries，protect，inherit and carry forward the Yellow River culture，and promote the high-quality and high-speed development of the Yellow River basin to a new level.
