As the source area and main stream area of the Yellow River Basin，Qinghai Province has an irreplaceable strategic position in the Yellow River Basin. Qinghai’s ecological protection and high-quality development have a certain foundation in its resource endowment，ecological environment protection and construction，economic development，people’s lives，and technological innovation. In 2020，Qinghai has achieved certain results in ecological protection and high-quality development under the guidance of the construction of “five demonstration provinces” and the “four economic forms”. Its ecological dividends continue to be released，economic and social development is orderly，people’s livelihood and well-being continue to strengthen，and the development of new energy is attracting worldwide attention. However，there are still some difficulties in the construction of ecological civilization，the continuous optimization of the industrial structure，and the support of high-quality development. In the next step，Qinghai’s ecological protection and high-quality development can be accelerated through the establishment and improvement of the main function zone system，online and offline-internal and external joint efforts to drive industrial development，and explore ways to realize the value of diversified ecological products.
