Shenzhen is one of the largest and most advanced electronic information industry bases in China. It is the center of distribution，application and design of the integrated circuit products in China. In 2020，Shenzhen’s integrated circuit industry continued its momentum of development. The output value of the integrated circuit design industry ranked the first in major cities across the country for nine consecutive years. Innovative companies and technological highlights continue to emerge. The application areas have also been intensively cultivated and expanded. The core key areas are in the bottleneck. This article briefly illustrate the development situation of Shenzhen’s integrated circuit industry，summarizes and analyzes the current challenges in it，and brings forth some development suggestions based on the characteristics of Shenzhen’s relevant industry.
