In order to understand the current situation of the construction of Guangzhou digital government，the research group of Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences carried out a special survey on the internet. According to the survey，we found that the evaluation of digital government construction is high，especially on the hardware facilities construction evaluation，government officers’ digital work literacy is great，the needs of cross-departmental data sharing are prominent，the construction of digital government has achieved remarkable results in improving work efficiency and optimizing service process，eliminating sectoral protectionism and expanding information sharing are the outstanding difficulties，there is still space for improvement in the content richness and platform intensification of online government services，digital public services have improved significantly in terms of making it easier for people to see a doctor，attend school，and provide social security services. At the same time，the construction of Guangzhou digital government is still faced with the problems of system and mechanism，data sharing and insufficient supporting measures. In this regard，Guangzhou’s digital government needs to seize five focal points for high-quality development. We have to focus on addressing the imbalance between the digital capabilities of business departments at the provincial and urban levels. Emphasis on the spillover effect of information resources to promote data sharing from passive to active. Efforts will be made to provide supporting resources for platform construction and improve the flexibility of the mechanism. We have to adhere to user-oriented thinking and enhance the value of digital government in serving social governance. We will encourage the market and society to join us and form a digital governance pattern featuring joint contribution，joint governance and shared benefits.
