The urban renewal process of Guangzhou has been undergoing for over a decade since 2009. It has achieved fruitful results，gained practical experience，and is still constantly exploring and improving，promoting the city to a better place. This paper investigates the satisfaction degree and experience evaluation of Guangzhou residents on the urban renewal and upgrade work in recent years，analyzes the demand of the residents，with the hope to provide enlightenment for future improvement. Through the survey，we found that the achievements of urban renewal and upgrade of Guangzhou in recent years have been fully approved，and the residents have deep feeling and high satisfaction towards the improvement of the overall appearance of the city，especially in the aspect of ecological environment protection. Residents expect that in the future，urban renewal and upgrade work will make more efforts in optimizing transportation，increasing parking space，enhancing and promoting traditional culture，and revitalizing idle lands.
