In spite of the impact of international financial crisis and natural disasters，Chinese rural economy keeps growing in 2009. Summer crop production keeps increasing and peasants’ income grows slightly as well. In first three quarters，the growth rate of retail sales of social commodities in rural area is faster than that in urban area. The stratification in peasants between agricultural and non-agricultural occupational groups is followed by the further stratification within each group，which is caused by the advancement of agriculture technology and the management skill. The large scale circulation of agricultural land in rural area is a significant event in 2009. The interest in land has become the focus of social contradictions and social conflicts in rural area，and it shows an increasingly important influence to rural development and stability.
