Since CITIC Trust introduced the first insurance trust product in China in 2014，insurance trust products started to gain reputations and recognition among HNW clients，and the industry then flourished with development and improvements. While obtaining good results，we may also want to focus the challenges co-existing in the development of Chinese insurance trust industry. This article identifies the related concepts of insurance trusts，and followed by analyses on the typical cases via introduction of development background and social demands of domestic insurance trusts，and differences in comparison to developed countries. It features on the study of development status and existing problems of domestic insurance trusts，so as to investigate the challenges in structure build-up，cultivation of market participants and construction of standard of services.
