In 2020，COVID-19 have changed the pace and direction of global economic and trade cooperation，and Chinese trade cooperation with Central Asia was also deeply affected. The epidemic has a strong impact on the economic and social development of Central Asian countries directly and triggered profound changes. Economic recovery has become the common goal of all countries. Under the pressure of economic operation，the rhythm and planning of international economic and trade cooperation among Central Asian countries have been disrupted. Through the adjustment of domestic and foreign policies and measures，all countries have been actively coped with the adverse effects that brought by the international economic and trade environment changes and their own problems，and minimize the national economic and trade cooperation damage caused by COVID-19. The direction and prospect of China’s economic and trade cooperation with Central Asia is the most crucial direction for the Belt and Road. While China and Central Asian countries are jointly facing epidemic prevention，they are also contributing wisdom and strength to the common development of regional economic and trade cooperation. Under the new situation，to strengthen China’s economic and trade cooperation in Central Asia，we can comprehensively consider strengthening system construction，implementing mechanism guarantee，summing up development experience，expanding cooperation space，strengthening epidemic prevention cooperation，ensuring regional security，and striving to restore economy and ensure people’s livelihood.
