The security of Central Asia has remained generally stable，and the social and political turbulence of individual countries were basically controllable. In the past year，there have been no major terrorist violence in Central Asia，but the security problems such as extreme ideological infiltration，organized crime and drug smuggling have not been effectively curbed. Social instability has continued to increase，which is not only an extension of the security threat of the past year，but also a further expansion of the comprehensive security problems in the areas stimulated by the outbreak of COVID-19. Security threats in Central Asia have gotten into a gestation period，and challenges will increase in the coming year.
