COVID-19 epidemic has brought great impact on the economies of all countries. Economic growth has generally declined, with negative growth in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Unemployment has risen, foreign debts have soared, foreign trade has fallen sharply, the local currency has depreciated, and overseas remittance income has decreased. However, there are bright spots in the predicament, with the rapid growth in agriculture and construction industry. Due to the severe epidemic situation, instead of seeking development, countries have given way to anti-epidemic,maintaining stability, and reduced strategic planning in specific areas. Contrariwise, regional powers hope to turn the outbreak into a window of opportunity to accelerate the digital economic development and expand new economic space. In the process of anti-epidemic and economic recovery,Central Asian countries regard the international financial institutions as the main source of financing, and foreign cooperation presents a new trend.
