Based on the sampling survey of 4013 households in Guangzhou，Hangzhou，Zhengzhou，Lanzhou and Harbin which conducted in June 2008，this report depicts and analysis the family structure and family relationships in China. Chinese family structure has experienced a dramatic change. Among all family types，nuclear family accounts for more than 70%. Average size per household is 3.22. Conjugal relationships，parent-child relationships and kinship are analyzed and their differences from those in western society are also discussed in the report.
