Wuhan is the central fulcrum for China to promote the “Belt and Road” Initiative，as well as the hub and node connecting the “Belt and Road” and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. As the core city in the rise of Central China and the city cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River，Wuhan closely follows the action principles，construction priorities and cooperation mechanisms of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. Taking into account its own advantages and characteristics，Wuhan has vigorously built the China-Europe Railway Express （Wuhan），pioneered the construction of pilot free trade zone，comprehensively advanced win-win industrial cooperation，and actively carried out cultural and educational cooperation. This not only effectively drives the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative，but also creates new and greater historical opportunities to build on the momentum to accelerate Wuhan’s growth into a national central city and modern international metropolis.
