2009年我国社会治安状况继续保持总体稳定，社会秩序平稳，一些突出的违法犯罪活动得到有力整治，打击黑恶势力的行动得到民众普遍支持，群众安全感普遍增强。但是，刑事犯罪案件依然处于高发时期，维护社会治安持续稳定的压力不断加大。
<<China’s overall public security situation remains stable in 2009. Serious illegal and criminal activities have been under control. The operation against Mafia-like crimes gained fully support of the people. People’s sense of security has generally increased. However，due to the high incidence of criminal cases，the pressure of maintaining public security could not be underestimated.
