In 2020，the Macao SAR’s economy contracted 56.3% in real terms. Fatigue prevention and control measures to maintain safe social distance and block the flow of people activities have had a greater impact on the global tourism，F&B，accommodation and other hospitality industries that require consumers to contact service providers face-to-face. During the epidemic，those in the Macau F&B industries are mainly serve inbound tourists and larger scales have been hit more severely，while smaller scales with local consumption as the main source of income have been relatively less affected. Macau’s F&B industries are mostly traditional small，medium and micro enterprises，and lacks the ability to resist the risks of market changes，expand the market across borders，and compete with foreign investment. It’s necessary to find a path for the F&B industries take opportunities and base on their comparative advantages for sustainable development in the future.
