With the reform and opening-up policy，Tibet is in high-speed economic development. However，because of Tibet’s unique geographical environment，cultural history and other differences，uneven distribution exists in the medical and health resources，and great differences exist in different regions；the number of health workers is insufficient and the human resources are irregular；a series of problems，such as inadequete management，lag configuration，influenced the development of medical and health services in Tibet. With the social development and economic progress，the lagging medical and health cannot meet people’s increasing demands on services. National and local governments recently adopted a series of solutions to increase the aids for Tibet，to improve the development of medical and health services in Tibet，to expand the medical security range，to strengthen the construction of infrastructure，to complete the medical devices proportion and to promote the development of medical and health services in Tibet.
