In the 1990s，the United States initiated the concept of POCT，and after about 30 years of research and development in Western countries，great achievements have been made in the related industry technology，equipment R&D and application. The POCT industry started relatively late in China. Rapid development hasn’t started until the recent decade. More and more new technologies have entered the hospitals，communities and families in China，as the national hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system going through continuous advancement. With wide application of POCT，many problems have also been identified，such as insufficient supporting policies design，charging standards establishment，rational use of equipment，quality control and supporting information construction，etc.，This article attempts to do some research in the following aspects，in order to enhance the development of POCT in China.
