With the continuous optimization of Beijing’s economic structure and investment environment，more and more high-quality enterprises have settled in Beijing，including regional headquarters of multinational corporations，investment companies，R&D centers，etc. In 2020，the number of Beijing’s multinational corporations has ranked among the best in China，and regional headquarters have achieved significant increase in quantity. At the same time，there are also some problems，such as the decline of foreign investment and revenue，the divestment of multinational corporations，and the weakening of the technological contribution. Although the global COVID-19 epidemic will still have an impact on the international investment，Beijing’s attraction to multinational corporations will be further enhanced under the guidance of the ‘two districts’and ‘three platforms’policy. Innovation is becoming a new driving force for the development of multinational corporations，accelerating the trend of service-oriented，high-end，and headquarters-oriented.
