Social organizations are one of the diversified forces participating in rural revitalization. In an ideal situation，social organizations can use their unique advantages to play five major roles in rural revitalization. However，according to the empirical data of the Chengdu Social Organization Development Special Fund Platform，the actual performance is generally mediocre，in sharp contrast with ideal expectations. In this regard，it is not that social organizations are not suitable for participating in rural revitalization，but that their ability to participate will not be acquired naturally，and they need to experience growth through “actual combat” with the support of policies.
