In the new era，the reform of the household registration system in China presents a new development orientation. Although the reform of the household registration system has achieved positive results，the deep-seated problems of the reform still exist. For this reason，it is necessary to further clarify the essential connotation of household registration management，improve household registration management laws and regulations，and promote coordination and overall planning among regions and government departments.
