The World According to GaWC，Global Power City Index，Global Cities Index，Global Financial Centers Index and Global Innovation Cluster Ranking successively released updated reports in 2020. The impact of COVID-19 outbreak was taken into consideration by most rankings in adjusting the index design，leaving the rankings changed to a certain extent，also giving inspiration to the restorative development of global cities after the pandemic. In developing global cities，this research suggests to pay greater attention to building resilience against risks，focus on reform to maintain momentum for development，take the lead in global recovery，and strengthen solidarity and coordination to achieve common development.
