Huaihai Economic Zone focuses on the industrial development and promotes the construction of “one village，one product” professional demonstration villages. 109 villages and towns have been listed in the national “one village，one product” professional demonstration villages and towns directory. Efforts have been made to improve the environment and accelerate the construction of “China’s beautiful leisure villages”，and 20 villages have been recommended as China’s beautiful leisure villages. The zone also lays emphasis on the cultivation and display of characteristic towns. 8 towns have been listed in the national characteristic towns directory. This paper puts forward suggestions，including planning guidance，industrial support，standardized construction of beautiful countryside，industrial guidance，cluster agglomeration，and brand marketing for characteristic towns.
