In the year of 2020，new achievements have been made in the field of preservation of historic city. Based on the working idea of Integrated presevation and regional advancements，the preservation of the central axis for World heritage application，the preservation of the old city’s style and features，the preservation of the three cultural belts have been constantly advanced，the preservation and utilization of the cultural heritage has been integrated in modern life gradually. There are still some problems existed in excavating cultural connotation，the inability of cultural preservation and utilization，and the insufficiency of development of cultural tourism. More efforts should been delivered to solve the restrictive factors and promote the preservation of historic city in Beijing.
