In 2019，the construction of New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the west has become a national strategy，by which the construction of an international gateway port in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Zone has been promoted that has created a major historical opportunity for the construction of the Beibu Gulf port. This article comprehensively summarizes the construction of port hardware and software infrastructure in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone，the upgrading of port route layout，connectivity construction such as trains and ships interconnection，and port cargo transportation volume and other aspects of construction；On this basis，it is pointed out that the level of port infrastructure construction in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone will be upgraded in 2020，the construction of key lines of the sea-rail combined transport channel will start，the collection and distribution capacity of the important port area of the Beibu Gulf port will be significantly improved，as well as the route layout. Therefore，the Beibu Gulf Port is working hard towards the goal of building an international gateway port.
