The “3·7” collapse accident of Xinjia Hotel in Quanzhou，Fujian Province was a major production safety accident that caused the collapse of a building mainly due to illegal construction，reconstruction and reinforcement construction. Since the accident occurred during the critical period of our response to COVID-19，the hotel happened to be a centralized isolation and health observation facilities for outsiders to prevent and control COVID-19 in Licheng District of Quanzhou. The nature of the accident was serious and the impact was severe. It has important reference value for our country’s experience summary and reflection of emergency response under the environment of severe infectious diseases.
