In 2020，the climate year is generally inferior in China. During the main flood season，the southern part of China encountered the heaviest flood situation since 1998. Natural disasters are mainly floods，geological disasters，hail，typhoon disasters，earthquake，drought，low temperature and snow disasters，forest and grassland fires and other disasters have occurred to varying degrees. This year，emergency management encountered many difficult challenges. Under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era，the emergency management system and related disaster-related departments effectively deal with all kinds of major disasters and resolutely undertake the important mission of protecting the safety of people’s lives and property and maintaining social stability. New progress has been made in the construction of disaster management systems，capacity-building for disaster prevention and mitigation，and international cooperation in disaster prevention and mitigation. In the disaster，the emergency management has stood the test，reduced the disaster loss and the influence to the greatest extent，has created the good safety environment for the safeguard economic and social development.
