在回顾社区社会资本与社区治安状况研究现状的基础上，本调查通过社区参与、社区规范、社区信任、社区网络和社区认同五个维度测量了北京市两个社区的社会资本，并分析了其与社区治安状况的关系。本文认为，一个社区的社会资本与其治安状况存在着较明显的相关性，一个社区的社会资本存量越多，则社区治安状况越好；反之，一个社区的社会资本存量越少，则社区的治安状况越差，所以，要改进一个社区的治安状况，社区可以从社区参与、社区规范、社区信任、社区网络、社区认同等方面培育社区的社会资本。
<<This paper presents the research status about the situation of the social capital and the public security of community first，then measures the social capital of two communities in Beijing by means of five dimensionalities including community participation，community norm，community trust，community network and community recognition，and analyzes the relations between the social capital and the status quo of the public security in the two communities. According to this article，there is indeed evident relativity between the social capital of a community and the status quo of the community security. For a community the more the quantity of the social capital is，the better the status quo of the public security is;contrariwise，the less the quantity of the social capital is，the worse the status quo of the public security is. To ameliorate the security of a community，the community must enhancement social capital of community from community participation，community norm，community trust，community network and community recognition and so on.
