As an important component of community building，urban community governance has received broad concern. This article reviews the history of urban community governance transformation in China，analyzes the community governance mechanism，important meaning，and summarizes achievements China has made in this regard and relevant experiences China has accumulated. Then it proceeds to make an in-depth analysis of problems faced by China in its community governance and put forward some tentative forecast for its future development.
