In the process of rapid development of China’s aging population，the living environment of the elderly is also undergoing significant changes. The number of the oldest old，the empty-nest elderly，the elderly living alone and the disabled elderly is increasing. At present，the national epidemic prevention and control of COVID-19 has entered the normalization，reflecting on the plight of empty-nest elderly in the epidemic，and the loopholes in the community pension and pension system，analyzing the important role played by the smart pension model in the outbreak of COVID-19 and the specific advantages of the wisdom pension model in the post-epidemic era，and using information technology to promote wisdom. We should improve the relief system for the elderly vulnerable groups under the sudden public health crisis.
