The modern historical and cultural heritage group of Weifang，represented by Ledao Compound & Concentration Camp of Wei County，not only witnessed the cultural exchanges between China and the West，but also reflected the peaceful spirit of Chinese people’s selfless dedication to foreign fellow sufferers during the Pacific War. Weifang has included the applying to be one of the International Cities of Peace in the major strategies of the 14th Five-Year Plan in order to practice Xi Jinping’s scientific concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind，enhance Weifang’s international influence and reputation，and build a new pattern for the development of the cultural tourism in Weifang. Weifang possesses a large number of peaceful heritages，so it has advantages in historical origin and peaceful culture. Therefore，Weifang has a relatively sufficient reserve for the application of International Cities of Peace，and the work is carried out efficiently and orderly.
