2008年以来，我国医疗机构数量、资源、卫生总费用在全国范围内普遍增长，医院药品市场年增速在2012年之前达到22%，2013年增速放缓为8%，各省在增长态势上呈现不同的特征。脑梗塞、剖宫产等疾病的均次药费也不断增加。在此期间，医院与基层的药品业务比重有所下降，但仍处于医院收入的核心位置。
