A survey of 5153 city women shows that women’s overall quality of life from 2019 to 2020 scored 7.7 points，higher than 6.7 points in 2018 and 7.5 points in 2017. The breakdown of the result shows 8.0 points for satisfaction with physical and mental health，8.1 for sense of happiness，7.6 for job satisfaction，6.8 for income satisfaction，7.7 for living environment satisfaction and 7.9 for satisfaction with the quality of family life. The main findings are as below. In 2020，more than 90% of women surveyed actively participated in the people’s fight against COVID-19. They had strong political integrity and a strong sense of responsibility to the general good，and committed themselves to serving national interests；they and their families tided over the difficulties and withstood the epidemic test through mutual support；they valued family education，family conduct and the all-round development of their children；they chose flexible employment to relieve economic pressure，but they preferred and valued stable employment；they kept learning and make continuous progress to meet the challenges. The paper suggests enhancing women’s ability to cope with uncertainties；protecting women’s rights and interests and allowing them to equally enjoy the fruits of reform and development；giving play to women’s role in social and family life，and promoting the realization of gender equality.
