In the 2018-2019 fiscal year，the Myanmar government has actively improved the business environment and promoted sound development in all sectors of the economy. In this fiscal year，Myanmar formally implemented the new companies act，introduced new tax and exemption measures，opened the insurance industry，actively introduced foreign investment，and stimulated the economic vitality of Myanmar. Myanmar’s agriculture，communications，manufacturing and tourism have developed rapidly，import and export trade has maintained growth，and domestic investment has further increased. However，in the 2018-2019 fiscal year，Myanmar’s currency depreciated，inflationary pressure increased，fiscal deficit widened，and the economic growth rate slowed down compared with the previous year. Meanwhile，due to the slowdown of global economic growth and the impact of local conflicts in Myanmar on investor confidence，Myanmar’s foreign investment further declined with a large gap to the planned target in this year.
