Standing at the historical node of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China，from the perspective of the interaction between media and society，this paper sorts out the development pedigree of New China documentaries in the past 70 years. According to the new China，four periods in the new period，the new century，new era for dating，this paper summarizes the different period of the concept of Chinese documentary，discourse，and aesthetic changes with the time of intertextuality，interactive relationship，focusing on record images for the “National Day” to pick up the different historical period of the rendering and construction of a national ceremony “highlights”，thus making forward-looking thinking about the development of Chinese documentary in new era.
