本报告通过研究英国广播公司年度报告、BBC研究与发展中心的学术文章以及权威传媒网站的数据,发现了新媒体时代下英国纪录片在类型、制作以及宣发上表现出的诸多新特征。首先,在技术创新的推动下涌现出交互式纪录片、虚拟现实纪录片等在内的许多新型纪录片。其次,在制作上众筹模式开始获得行业及工作者的认可,独立纪录片作者也依赖新兴媒介拥有了可以与专业公司媲美的影响力。最后,纪录片在宣发上更加依赖新媒体的高效精准以及其对于年轻人的吸引力。此外,本报告还分析了在包括美国奈飞公司在内的各大流媒体平台快速崛起下,BBC积极入局并推出线上平台,以整合资源的方式努力延续其主流媒体的地位。
<<According to the annual plan of BBC,the academic journal of the BBC Research & Development department and also the data statistics from reliable media website,it is evident that there are new changes in the genre,production and distribution of British documentaries in this new media age. In terms of genre,interactive and virtual reality documentaries are emerging with the help of technology innovation. Aside from that,looking into the production aspect,crowd-funding is further developing and hence more and more independent documentary filmmakers are surfacing. Last but not least,the distribution of British documentaries through new media platform is widely accepted by the audience and therefore are being used by distribution companies. For instance,BBC has released its streaming platform to attract the younger generations’ attention. It is a judicious move to try to survive in this fiercely competitive industry.
