In 2020，Beijing has made many significant achievements in the field of social governance，including party building leadership in the prevention and control of COVID-19，the continuation of the mechanism “Public complaints have been processed without delay”，well done in “two important-trivial things”，the promotion of urban security，etc.，which ensured the smooth progress of many important tasks such as the preparation of the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics Games，and enhanced the people’s sense of gain，happiness and security. Looking forward to 2021，the domestic and international situation will remain severe，the task of Beijing’s social governance will become more difficult，we suggest continue to uphold and strengthen Party building leadership，adhere to the new developmental and systematic view，improve the social mobilization system，stimulate the vitality of social organizations，strengthen the legalization of social governance，promote the ability of prevention and resolution in major risks and upgrade the level of intelligent governance，so that we can take efforts to create a new pattern of social governance in mega-cities with capital characteristics.
