China’s traditional Chinese medicine industry has achieved great development under the promotion of various national laws，policies and plans. As of December 2019，a total of 22 lists and 137 specific objects （including expansion projects） including “cognitive methods of life and disease of traditional Chinese medicine” have been included in the national representative list of traditional medicine intangible cultural heritage. In 2019，the 137 protected objects have made outstanding achievements in four aspects：protection and inheritance，communication and promotion，innovation and industry，academic and public welfare. With the coming of the “14th five-year plan”，Chinese medicine has gradually moved from the “supported” stage to the “inheritance and development” stage，and entered a new era of “creative transformation and innovative development” in which traditional medicine wisdom and modern medical science and technology，traditional medicine secret recipe and modern medicine industry are integrated.
